20-30 minute climb. Two WWII bunkers with stunning views of the Mokulua Islands. Sunrise crowd starts at 4:30 AM.

Two miles of beach + Kalākaua Avenue from Hilton Hawaiian Village to Diamond Head. Free street performers + hula at the bandstand most evenings.

Free Saturday farmer's market, free concerts at the bandstand, kite-flying, jogging, family picnics. The community living room of Honolulu.

Mānoa Falls Hike
1.6-mile round-trip through rainforest to a 150-ft waterfall. Filming location for Jurassic Park. $5 parking, hike is free.
Morning before the rain. Don't go after heavy rainfall — flash floods.
Watch Pipeline (winter)
Stand on the sand at ʻEhukai Beach Park and watch the world's best surfers ride 30-ft waves at the Banzai Pipeline. Free, no tickets.
